Surrealism
Generally, surrealism is a movement in art or literature that developed in the earlier twentieth century. It is a way of expressing imaginative visions and illusions that are pretty far from logic.
Let's focus on surreal art. Other words for surreal is strange or unreal, which means the artworks must be pretty weird for normal people to see. If you ask me, surreal art is one of my favorite type of art because the artworks really explains what's going on in the artist's mind. If you dig deeper into the story behind every surreal artworks, you can actually see how crazy things are going on in one's mind and imagination.
I did some surreal arts myself because that's the only way I know to get things off my messy head. One of the most famous surreal artist which is also my favorite is of course, Mr. Salvador Dali. Looking at his artworks inspired me to create my own. Mine aren't really good but it did delivered the message to those who understands.
