Documentaries

A documentary is a movie consists of interviews and stories about people in real life events and history. Most documentary films were made to motivate people to just keep living and show them how these people managed to go through rough times in their life. In another angle, people make documentary films about a person's background, celebrities mostly.

What makes documentaries special is that it is based on the truth and the truth only. There's no specific script or casting and made-up stories. It's the reality. Fiction films, however, are pretty much the opposite of a documentary. If a documentary film consists of real-life stories and interviews, fiction films are like imagination brought to life kind of thing. When a person comes up with an idea, talk about it with a friend, start to write a story line and a script, directed and recorded and finally produced it, it is a fiction film.

I'm not the type of person who enjoys documentaries because I find it a bit boring and dull. But there are some documentary films that made me get some snacks, sit down and actually watch from the beginning till the end. One of it is a documentary called Amy. It is about the life and death of Amy Winehouse, one of my favorite singer. It was released in 2015 and the running time is 128 minutes. The fact that this film have won a total of 30 awards, that really proves that this is actually a very good one.
