The Evolution of Mobile Phones

The Evolution of Mobile Phones

Mobile phones were originally created to make phone calls and make it easier for people to communicate. But throughout the years, people are starting to make life easier and simpler by having almost everything they need in their everyday life into one little device.

The first mobile phone ever made can only make phone calls. Later, they created one that can send a text message. After that, they added some minor features like calculator, flash light, games and calendar. Now, all mobile phones are smart phones that have internet connection, high quality cameras, music players, touch screens and better designs.

The impact they have over the years in huge. In the early days, only businessmen need mobile phones to make them easier to reach whoever they need to reach. Later, with the better features, some adults got themselves their own mobile phones. In the 90s and early 00s, if any teenagers or kids who owns a mobile phones are considered as rich kids. People used to interact with each other physically.

After generations and generations of mobile phones created, now we have smart phones that are sometimes smarter than people nowadays. Honestly, despite all the positive outcomes of owning a smart phone, there are a lot to look at in the negative side of it. Since smart phones can do pretty much anything, people are starting to live less and become lazier than a fat cat. You want to tell your mom you love her? Instead of walking to her and tell her yourself, just text, thanks to the internet for making messaging free. Your home blacked out? Never mind, your phone screen is bright enough to light up your area. Need to buy a new book? No need to go out to the bookstore, buy it online and the book will arrive right at your doorstep. All these things you can do with your phone and keep yourself in bed without leaving, it's good and bad at the same time.

Can't disagree with how mobile phones actually made people become introverts. And a bit dumb, of course. Some smart phones nowadays are ridiculously expensive and some people are willing to spend their life savings to get the smart phone they want because it's a trend and they think they're in a race with other people on who have the best phone.

Mobile phones have turned from a useful connecting device to somewhat a "God" to people these days. Here's a challenge, try keeping your mobile phone in your closet for a day and go out, drive to the museum, enjoy some real artwork, meet actual human being and just live life to the fullest.
