From what I notice, the evolution of media forms affect the society's behavior big time.
Let's talk history. Back in the old times, there are some classic media like paintings, sculptures and books. Today, we have computers, smart phones and televisions. The amount of crime and weird behavior among the society increased and it's definitely have something to do with the development of media.
Before internet happens, kids learned about life from their parents and teachers. Which mostly, are good behaviors and keeping positivity in life. After the internet happens, kids tend to get influenced with what they see online instead of listening to their parents.
Besides the negative effect on kids, the development of media actually makes life easier. Let's talk business, in the old days people have to travel in order to have a meeting with their business partner, today, with the existence of internet, they skype. The 14 year old me wouldn't have thought about how Skype actually helped the adults. All I knew was, I used skype to dance together with my friends at night because we aren't allowed to leave the house after dawn.
The modern media actually makes people anti-social. Before, news & pretty much anything else were spread through printed media like newspapers, magazines and books. People wake up in the morning and walk out to the store to buy these printed media. By going out, they meet new people. Nowadays, people only watch news on TV and and read books in Kindle. They don't leave the house. But hey, at least they sit together as a family, right? And then there's the Internet. You read news on your computer or smartphone, you won't even need to leave your own bedroom. 10/10 for not meeting any human being today.
